Inventus Power has been manufacturing highly reliable power supplies for over 60 years and we are proud that our products have built a proven, long-term track record of performance that has made us a respected leader in the category. In fact, a number of well-known medical device manufacturers have told us that the reliability of Inventus Power’s products is the main reason for continuing to use our power supplies for their mission-critical equipment. In order to help our customers drive more innovation and higher performance in their own products, we recently developed a new series of innovative power supplies that are raising the bar across the medical device industry!

NEW! Feature-rich 65W fixed output voltage power supply and 65W USB-C Power Delivery (PD) power supply with adjustable output

First out of the gate is a 65W fixed output voltage power supply offering as well as an adjustable voltage power delivery product, the XWA065 Series and XWA0650PD Series respectively. All of the products in these lines fully comply with medical standard IEC 60601 and deliver a host of unprecedented performance and safety features that will help drive the quality and competitiveness of your medical devices even further.

First of all, these products are smaller and lighter than anything that came before them due to incorporating new GaN technology into their design. Using Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors also enables better overall performance and gives you a head start in developing innovative devices that are more compact and efficient.

Further, our power supplies, with a remarkable 6dB margin in Conducted Emissions (CE) and Radiated Emissions (RE) testing, offer unmatched advantages for medical applications. By surpassing a minimum compliance level of 3dB, they ensure superior performance in mitigating emissions and reducing the risk of electromagnetic interference (EMI), complying with stringent regulatory standards. These power supplies enhance system-level EMI/EMC performance, minimizing disruptions, malfunctions, and false readings in critical medical applications.

It also provides future-proofing against an environment that is certain to include ever more electronic devices, ever-increasing levels of noise, and more stringent standards and regulations.

From a safety perspective, these products have tested to a leakage current level of less than 65 uA—again, far more protective than the industry standard of 100uA.

Further along an impressive laundry list of in-demand specs include IP22 ingress protection against water, dust and dirt; full RoHS compliance; GaN-based construction; DOE Level VI energy efficiency and a comprehensive, industry-leading 5-year warranty.

The bottom line to our medical device customers is that they can now source both the most innovative and feature-rich power supplies and power delivery products from a single, highly reliable source—one with more than 60 years of proven experience in the industry.

Look to Inventus Power for high reliability, customization and even one-on-one design expertise

While these new products represent a huge raising of the bar in the industry, a number of familiar aspects of the Inventus Power offering will not change a bit.

First, all of these products are highly robust—they are built to operate continuously and flawlessly in even the most critical medical devices for years and years without fail. They are certified to the highest medical standards and stand up to temperature extremes and fluctuations, vibration, user dropping and abuse, and more.

Further, customers will continue to be able to individually customize our power supplies and power delivery products to best fit their unique design specifications. For example, we can often modify cables and connectors, or custom imprint on existing products to best allow seamless integration into any new medical device design.

And, taking this customization support a giant step further, with our expert in-house engineering capabilities and mechanical design expertise, we can even work with you to custom develop a unique power supply or power design solution starting right from the initial development stages, creating a product optimally built for your new device from the ground up.
