Zoltan Borbath from our Commercial, Industrial & Consumer (CIC) Team attended NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, in Anaheim, CA last week. This event brings together the most powerful buyers and leaders in the music equipment, pro audio and entertainment technology industries. Check out our brief interview with Zoltan to gain some insight into this industry event.

What were your reasons for attending NAMM?

Zoltan: I’ve attended this show in previous years and feel it is a good opportunity to visit with our current customers who are exhibiting as well as gather information on market trends.

What were the main industry topics presented or products displayed at this event?

Zoltan: This event is geared for the professional music industry. For battery-operated devices, the products most featured were wireless headphones, microphones, body packs, chargers and portable speakers.

What type of technology trends are taking place within the professional music industry that would be relevant to Inventus Power?

Zoltan: Most of our customers in this segment partner with us to design and manufacture the battery packs and chargers for their portable and professional audio equipment. While most of the professional equipment is still “wired”, there is an increase in demand for wireless speakers, PA systems, and amplifiers.

Why should industry OEMs consider partnering with Inventus Power to design and manufacture the battery and power system for their wireless device?

Zoltan: Inventus Power has 60 years of industry experience designing & manufacturing battery packs, chargers and powers supplies for high end consumer applications. We have the resources and capabilities needed to develop safe and reliable battery solutions and the engineering expertise to help our customers innovate their next generation devices according to market demands and industry trends.
