This year, Inventus Power was a first time virtual exhibitor at Interclean Amsterdam Online, the largest professional cleaning exhibition and international networking platform for the global cleaning industry. Check out our interview with our EMEA Sr. Business Development Managers, Oliver Bald and Andreas Paul, for event highlights and insight into the professional cleaning industry.

Why was Interclean Amsterdam an important event for Inventus Power?

Oliver: Interclean Amsterdam is the most important show for the cleaning industry in the EMEA region. As a company, we are extremely committed to the cleaning market and are already working closely with some of the leading OEMs to help integrate our lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries into their machines.

We decided to use Interclean as a platform to present our new PROformance line of standard size batteries and make the case for Li-ion in a market that is still dominated by Lead Acid technology.

Andreas: To help the audience understand the benefits of a high quality Li-ion solution in the cost driven cleaning space, we held a presentation on the Innovation Stage: “Cleaning up the myths about Lithium batteries – Why you should make the switch”. We explained why choosing the right Lithium-ion batteries means: lowest overall cost, longest cycle life and peace of mind – and why not all Li-ion batteries are created equal.

Normally this is an in-person event, but this year it went virtual. How was this experience?

Oliver: It was great to see the show's commitment to finding an alternative to the in-person event in Amsterdam. While virtually checking in with exhibitors and attendees through chat messages and video calls was certainly better than not connecting at all, we are looking forward to the next “real” in-person Interclean in Amsterdam!

What technology trends, specifically in power solutions, are taking place within the professional cleaning industry?

Andreas: We see that connected machines (IoT) and platforms to manage the work in progress are on the rise. It seems to become more and more important for the operators to get insights on their processes in order to optimize their work flow and maintenance activities leading to better services to the client. Therefore digital solutions that are built for longevity and lowest downtime are key.

Why should industry OEMs partner with Inventus Power for their professional cleaning applications?

Andreas: Inventus Power is already working with the leading OEMs in the sector of professional cleaning. We see that our vast experience in Li-ion technology and strong engineering capabilities are crucial factors for strategic partnerships.

Product life cycles beyond 5 years, superior service, reliability, and the financial strength of the company are important factors to grow a successful partnership. Especially in the cleaning sector, Inventus Power can support its clients due to our global footprint and our integrated service structures.
