Inventus Power (inventuspower.com), a global leader in the design and manufacture of rechargeable power systems, today announced the launch of its new line of power supplies. The new Inventus Power brand includes desktop adapters that are focused at consumer and commercial market applications.
“Inventus Power’s new line of power supplies is specifically intended for applications where the Department of Energy’s Level VI power efficiency requirements are mandatory and price competitiveness is critical,” said Carol Pickford, Technical Marketing Manager at Inventus Power. “Initially, the line will start with 20W, 30W and 50W models, and support the 12 Volt through 24 Volt output range. Inventus Power will provide a one-year warranty for these models. Additional models are under development, including lower power wall plug units and higher power desktop adapters.”
Inventus Power currently produces desktop adapters in Manaus, Brazil and Qingxi, China. The new line of power supplies are built in Qingxi, China, at the same factory currently manufacturing the premium brand of Elpac power supplies, and utilizing the same manufacturing processes. The new line leverages Inventus Power’s global purchasing power to offer a competitive price for desktop adapter power supplies. The premium brand of Elpac open frame and desktop adapter power supplies remains unchanged.
“Recognizing market demand for lower priced solutions, we are proud to be launching our new line of desktop adapter power supplies,” said Jeff VanZwol, Inventus Power’s Vice President of Business Development. “Our customers want power supplies that are competitively priced, without sacrificing quality and reliability. With almost 60 years of experience in power supply manufacturing, Inventus Power is uniquely capable of meeting these customer needs because of our streamlined operations and our global purchasing power.”
Initial models will be available through Inventus Power’s distribution partners, including Allied Electronics, Arrow Electronics, Digi-Key and Mouser Electronics.
